Community mural dedication and unveiling in honor of Veterans Day!

This year, in honor of Memorial Day, Village for Vets partnered with artist Nick Spano of Recreation Cafe to create an original mural. The mural will be given to the formerly homeless veterans now in permanent residence at beautifully refurbished Building 209 on the VA Greater Los Angeles Campus. 50 canvases and art kits went out to artists, including our community supporters, as well as many veterans and donors. The canvases were mounted together and framed to create a stunning original mural. Village for Vets would like to thank everyone who donated and participated in this fundraiser. A special thanks to Nick Spano, Castelli Art Framing, and Tara Lynn Wagner. Read more about how this fundraiser is helping veterans in more than one way here.

On Veterans Day we unveiled and dedicated the collaborative project between veterans and the community at building 209 on the VA Campus. Thank you to Nick Spano for facilitating the artwork, Brentwood School for providing lunch, and to Step Up for hosting.
